[Gpdd] Silly- New Guinea Slaves

    Hi, everyguinea and everyone!
    Things are going pretty groovy today. The girls are having a mini All Floor Day (I have to do an unexpected short shift, flu season, you know), but I think I'll be able to talk Michal into letting the girls stay out a little longer. I'll make Blacky give him kissies!
    To Rayna, Tosca and Carmen:
    I absolutely agree with you. Nothing says "Chicago" like a pizza or one of those pork chop sandwiches from Maxwell Street (yummy yummy yum!). Very good choice. 
    To Jaime:
    I am glad you like my posts. I try to share all of the funny little things that happen to me because of my guinea girls because I think we all need a little hillarity every now and again. But, I know what you mean about the hubbies! *sigh* Aren't they something? Michal's now trying to deny the secret cuddle sessions... aren't men a hoot? And I've caught him looking up new cage constructions and toys on the internet too, but he says, "I'm just trying to help you, babe." Yeah, right.
    But, I do have an interesting story to tell. For the last week, my daughter Aurora has been pretending to be a guinea pig. She has had me make her a cage out of the panels of the click together bookshelf she has, she talks in a high voice and adds wheeks whenever she remembers to, and actually asks for salads for lunch. 
    At first, Ithought she was jealous of the guineas, so I tried to spend more time with her, but it turns out that she still wants to be a guinea. When her and I went grocery shopping, I offered to get her one special treat, but she wanted baby carrots! 
    So, I looked it up on the net and I found it's normal and it simply means she likes the guineas and thinks they're cool and she wants to pretend to be them. It said that all kids do that with their pets. I guess we have a guinea slave in the making, folks! Bwah-ha-ha! Yeah, we shall populate the earth with guinea mamas and papas!
