Dear Glynis, Deana and Scott

I was worried to see on the digest that Sully isn't eating...do you think
it could be his teeth? If you put your little finger inside Sully's
mouth, you might be able to feel whether the lower back teeth are arching
over the tongue. Sometimes the upper molars overgrow outwards and stick
into the cheeks, and the lower molars overgrown inwards and arch over the
tongue, making chewing and swallowing difficult. Making a mash of the
pellets is good, but if you can get Oxbow Critical Care that has all
sorts of nutrients and is designed for herbivores who aren't eating well.
If you can put his salad food through a juicer, that will help with fluids
and vitamins.

Get Sully to a vet as soon as you can - the teeth can be trimmed if
necessary, or it could be an intestinal blockage that is giving him
trouble. Lift Sully up against your ear to check that he has natural
gurgling sounds of digestion (not too loud, nor too quiet).

Sully needs to start eating again pretty soon. Pop him on the scales to
make sure he doesn't start losing weight.

Get well soon Sully.
Best wishes

Kay
