Thank you Janneke for the good tips. I think every place in the world, if the news is to be believed, is having heat problems. We hit 106 degrees two days in a row followed by 104 the next two days. This is VERY unusual for us in No. Calif. as close to the ocean as we are.

Please keep your fingers crossed for my Lady Bug. She has not had a drop of water in almost two weeks and has never been a big water drinker. She's eating normally, her skin is not dry or excessivly warm except for the day it was 90 degrees in my place but I took care of that. She's as bright eyed and bushy tailed as ever but just refuses to drink. She will have nothing to do with salt licks and acts offended that I even offered! She is very difficult to deal with when she does not want to do something. She is an alpha's alpha when it comes to disposition. I got a syringe today and am taking her to her doctor this afternoon as I don't know how much water a guinea pig needs in a day. I honestly dread the fights that will ensue when I try to use it. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I'm concerned for her kidneys and bladder so this situation can't go on any longer. By the way, her weight is a normal for her 2lbs 8oz. It's got me puzzled.

  Thanks for listening.
Joan, slave to the Lady Bug
