Normally you get Critical Care from your Vet - the suppliers say that they
recommend it is used under veterinary supervision because it is for
convalescing small herbivores, and therefore they should be monitored.
Anyway, the Cambridge Cavy Trust will supply Critical Care to piggy owners
so it's possible it might also be available elsewhere too.  I don't think
you should have any problem getting a supply for emergency use, I think
it's good to have some on standby.
