I was very sad too when I heard that Peter Gurney had passed away.
I can't believe he's gone, but with his books and website he is still with
us in a way, a guardian angel to all piggies and their slaves.  Only a few
days before, he had said that the balance of his medication had improved
and that he was feeling better for it.

Thanks to Tex for letting everyone on the digest know; it is always
difficult to tell people sad news.  Thanks to Melissa for the lovely
photo on her website, remembering Peter as we all would wish to.  That's
a lovely idea Jaime, lighting a candle for him...  Peter's funeral is
Friday 7 July; there is also a service of remembrance across London that
day as it is the anniversary of the London bombings last year.

I understand from Piggy Power that rather than have flowers, Peter's
family would prefer donations to the Cavy Trust or the Trinity Hospice (in
case anyone wants to remember him in this way).  Piggy Power also said
that all Peter's piggies have loving homes among his friends.
