Someone (Andrew?) suggested a World Guinea Pig Day on Peter's birthday similar to World Rat Day.  I think this is a great idea.

I've never heard of World Rat Day (or dog or cat or bird or anything else, for that matter) but then I don't have rats, so maybe that's why.

Getting out publicity would be awesome, and then anything else (scholarship fund, prizes, special events, etc.) could be hung onto World Guinea Pig Day.
