If you are thinking of adopting and live within 100 miles of Fairfax,  
Virginia, please run, don't walk.. to the Fairfax, Virginia shelter. 

On  June 22nd, the Fairfax County Animal Shelter took in approximately 20 
guinea  pigs that were surrendered by one person. The shelter is in immediate 
need of  homes for these pigs or help from rescue groups. You can view the guinea 
pigs on  _http://www.petharbor.com_ (http://www.petharbor.com/)   by putting 
in your zip code and selecting the Fairfax County Animal Services,  then 
selecting 'other' animals for adoption.
