Hi Kelly,

My babies had that problem before, it looks like tan or brown crust under
their little noses. Sometimes if it gets bad, it'll get around their mouth
too. In our case, it was a fungal infection. I had some nystatin cream
laying around so I used that (its Rx only though). Also, miconazole cream
(Monistat) works really well that you can get over the counter. I use a
Q-tip to put a little bit on the area after I've fed them and just put it on
once a day. They hate it but it works. Sometimes the fungal infection comes
back. My vet said that it will never fully go away, which I don't understand
why it wouldn't. Has anyone else had issues with this? I don't think it's
harmful for them. They never seem to act different when they have it. They
just hate me putting the cream on! Poooor babies =( Anyway, let me know if
you need anything else or want me to send you pics on what it looked like.

**Hi i posted recently about my piggy's broken toe nail. But now there is
a
new problem my pancake who is in his own cage has stuff around his mouth,
 By
stuff I mean it looks almost like crusty's under is nose in the space where
you see his front teeth and in the corners of his mouth. Not on his nose or
in
it. As far as I can see his front teeth look ok too. He is eating fine,
 still
biting on his cage. But I tried to clean it just using water, well he
doesn't like to sit still long enough even if he's wrapped in a towel. Has
this
happened to anyone? Should I be worried? Please anyone help!!!
