I have 3  suggestions

1. Call the manager and explain your concerns

2.  Reply at once to the GPDD and give us the Name, address, and Phone number of the Petstore and the managers name so whee can make our own calls,  I would give anything to have my Mystic Lady back after I left her in with the father, his ardor killed her and trampled all but one of the babies, I cant imagine the mayhem if there are rabbits in there who get spooked

3.  Cal the local humane Society and ask for the small animal specialist or the manager
