[Gpdd] [HEALTH] Eye Gunk

We have been noticing that Miss Lucy tends to have little bits of dried gunk around her eyes, mostly in the morning. It is just like the stuff a human gets around their eyes sometimes, but it worries us a little because it seems like it is more around her left eye than the right.

Should she see the vet?  We were kind of hoping to avoid that because of having to cough up our life's savings for the pet deposit so we could keep her. Is there anything we can do for her at home, besides wipe the gunk away gently with a dampened cotton ball (which she does not seem to mind at all)?  It does not seem as though the eye is swollen, nor does it seem as if it hurts her, and this is a piggie who is NOT shy about letting you know if you hurt her...she cries out piteously when we trim her nails and we have never once cut them too short!  

So is eye gunk normal, and am I just being an overanxious piggie mommy?
