  Female guinea pigs (sows), go into "heat"  every 14-17 days their whole lives.  They do not have a "menopause."
  If you don't want them to be alone in their cage, try to find a friend for both of them, if you are able.  Otherwise, you could put the cages next to each other so they can still talk to each other.
