[Gpdd] [CARE] Will they get along?

Hi everybody,
I have some questions concerning my old pig and my new pig. Beanie is about one year old, Nuttie is just about 4 months. I am keeping them in separate cages for now, near to each other. So far, I don't think either one is at all aware of the other's existence.  They don't look at or talk to each other. Even when my husband and I are each holding one on our laps, right next to each other, they are totally oblivious. Is this normal? The purpose of getting the second pig was to provide Beanie some company. I thought she could use a friend. But now I don't know how to properly introduce them. Is it still too early? (We've had Nuttie for about 2 weeks.)  I would like them to live together in the same cage, but I can't just throw them in, can I? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
