I have been putting this off for almost a month now, but I felt that I owed it to Milo to share the news of his passing with some folks that will understand. On February 20th Milo crossed the Bridge. He had been diagnosed with bladder stones, but being a senior pig (5 plus years) and the amount of weight that he lost I didn't want to risk surgery right away. We treated him for pain and infection while I fed him to try to get him to a point where surgery might be an option. The stones were very large and there was no way for him to pass them. While he regained his appetite and seemed to be in less pain he never gained back any weight. In fact he continued to lose weight despite all the food he ate. I found him after he had passed.

Milo was a real ladies pig and did all he could to get to the girls cages. He was very protective of them. He was the only pig that ever bit me hard enough to make me bleed, but both times it was my fault. :) He loved to be petted on the nose and would let you know with a nibble when he was done with you. We miss you Milo and am glad to know that you are with Alvin, Boomer, Elliot, Howie, Rocket, and Lil' Spice. I miss you all still.

Waiting didn't really make that any easier, but thanks for letting share Milo. Thanks to all of you that offered support and advice. I really appreciate it.

  Sarah
