I had the same problem with one of my guinea pigs. Because her mouth  
probably hurt she was afraid to eat.

I suggest tempting Reeesie with some juicy delectable foods.  You  
might also try mixing up Critical Care into a paste and make a soft  
ball out of it. It's soft but a food he will be familiar with and it  
won't hurt is mouth.

With my pig, she couldn't resist toast. I would crumple it over her   
pellets and she'd pick through them to get the toast and eventually  
start on the pellets as well.
