Dear Corrine and Michael

I was so sorry to hear that little Cinnamon Bear wasn't able to pull
through in the end, and I do know how you must be feeling as I have lost
little piggies of my own over the past year or so. Everyone on the Digest
is thinking of you at this very sad time.

You did everything you could to help your Cinnamon Bear, no-one could
possibly suggest that there was anything else you should have or could
have done. Please PLEASE do not blame yourself, you have absolutely
nothing to feel guilty about. If you hadn't taken Cinnamon to the vet
you would be worried that something could have been done, but you know
that isn't true. There is absolutely NO WAY that a dose of 0.15ml is
too much for a 3lb piggy. It would have eased away any pain he had.

I am almost speechless about the way the vets treated you and your
beloved Cinnamon Bear. It was TOTALLY THANKS TO YOU that Cinnamon Bear
did NOT suffer, because *you* asked for the Metcam, and *you* gave him a
sensible dose so his last days were comfortable. You were with him when
he had to leave you, and he knew that you were there to comfort and
support him when he needed you most of all; you didn't let him down, you
were there for him and did everything you could for him. Thank goodness
little Cinnamon Bear had you; he knew he could trust you and he was right.

Be guided by your own feelings; if you don't want an autopsy done, then
don't have one done. You will need to mourn him in your own way, but
gradually, in time, you will find that you can remember the sweet little
things he used to do with smiles instead of tears. Your little
Snickerdoodle will always live on in your heart and your special memories
of him; you were lucky that you found each other, and you gave him a very
happy life. One day, you might feel ready to offer a home to another
little piggy; you'll know when the time is right...one day...

Best wishes,
take care

Kay
