Thanks for going into more depth with that, Kira, it makes a bit more sense now. I had thought you weaned him off the drops completely and he was just better which would not be glaucoma. The cloudiness overnight though is weird and makes it seem like there was an injury especially with half the eye puffing up like an egg even if they couldn't see it. That could plug whatever ducts drain the vitreous fluid which cause swelling of the eyeball. Cataracts can also cause glaucoma but cataracts is a film on the lens I believe versus the cornea which is what the overnight cloudiness also sounds like. That white ring around his eyes is calcification of the iris. My Tabby has it too.

Whew, what our piggies will do to us! I also have been using artificial tears with Tabby and it seems to help her feel better. I haven't noticed any reduction in her bulginess, but it is hard to notice small changes when I see her every day, you know? I do know she is feeling better and that is what I care about.

So thank you for explaining that to me. What glaucoma drops do you use on Gomez?

I also now have a dry eye pig :( His previous family had no idea so he has basically been suffering foralmost three years. Makes me mad.... <sigh> But he is doing very well now and he is such an awesome little fella! We will see if I can find him a home!!
