Corrine and Michael (and fellow gpdd-ers),
Although I have been reading for quite some time, and sharing in the
laughter and tears that all the loyal slaves have posted, I have never
posted to the list before myself. I'm shy, what can I say! But I just wanted
you to know that my two boys and I had a moment of silence for dear Cinnamon
Bear and even my younger boy, Wasabi, who squeaks and wheeks all day long
showed his respects.
Guinea pig love, to me, is a reflection of the love we have in our own
hearts. Cinnamon Bear loved you so much because you are a wonderful person
capable of great love, kindness, and unselfishness. You did everything in
your power to make not only his last days, but every day, comfortable and
happy. You should be proud, not feel guilty. Of course that is easier said
than done. Loss is a tricky thing. You cry, have regrets, and feel empty,
but on the other side, you are extremely thankful that for a short period of
time, there was a wonderful little Snickerdoodle in your life that made the
grief well worth it. You may have lost a friend, but you have a new Guardian
Angel.
Since I am the shy non-posting type, I do want to take the time to thank
everyone on the list for the companionship we have shared. Thank you!!! It's
a wonderful gift. The fact that you all love your pigs as much as I love
mine and take the initiative to continually educate current and future
slaves with compassion amazes me every time I check my inbox. You guys rock!
All of my love and best wishes,
Devon B.
