Dear GPDD Piggies and Slaves,

I recently had my little Joe into the vet for a front tooth problem. Not enough hay and vitamin C. The front tooth had split and was growing up into the roof of his mouth. All trimmed now. Back teeth too. Had to leave him overnight and they put him under. This was his second surgery this year. Removed a 3 inch lump from his tummy. All better now. Couple hundred later! Thank god for pet insurance! But as a dedicated pet owner nothing ever costs too much to provide for the babies.

I was given a sample of Vitamin C Tablets from Oxbow, "GTN-50C". I went onto their web page www.oxbowhay.com <http://www.oxbowhay.com /> and looked it up. I could have ordered it online but they had a place you could insert your zip code and search for the nearest store selling Oxbow. I did that and found one locally. I was confused at first because it was a specialty store for doggies/kitties but I asked the owner if she carried it and she said yes. She just started stocking small animal products! I bought a bottle...50 mg Vitamin C and 200 tabs. Apple Flavor TOO!!

I had a mortar and pestle so I could crush one up, even a back of the spoon would do the trick. I give one a day to both my piggies sprinkled on their treats. I am also not treating hay as a "treat" and now giving it daily. Of course I have spoiled them rotten with just treats and they looked at me crazy when the hay came into their cage! My charcoal was also diagnosed by the vet as overweight. He is 4.5 lbs. But he gets around with no problem during run time. I think piggies are like us come in all shapes, sizes and colors!

I also have had vibrating pigs. Not purring. I think it's when they are unsure of the situation. My brother's piggie did it when I held him because I was a stranger.

Little Joe also has stinky urine and poops. Since we have had him as a little baby he has stunk like a barn! We affectionately call him our little farmer boy!

Well that's about it sorry so long but there were such interesting subjects this time around that I could relate too.
