Carla - How wonderful that you 'happened' to meet that
wonderful man Bruce! Of course, I don't believe for a
minute that it was an accident - hope they join us!
Did you happen to get the rest of FiFi's name? Of course,
I know it wasn't OUR FiFi, even tho she is from Houston,
as she was just at a show with us (her sister, Bitsy, won
Best in Breed, over all the Americans! and just a babe!).
I always marvel how I am led to met other piggie people,
such a blessing!
All - Also - as I mentioned earlier to Penny, about the special
meeting, workshops, whatever, they had over there -
that more of us should do such events. Don't think you
aren't qualified - as a member here, most of us have
learned more than the average cavy owner, and if we
only share one or two facts to help them with their
piggies, it is well worth it. I just talked to a girl yesterday
who had a number of piggies for a few years now, and
didn't know they should have hay! It was all I could do
to keep from rushing to her house at that late hour, but
the OP's needed food and tending to, etc. If we will all
do something to help others, what a difference that
would make. Perhaps we could unite to develop some
sort of program, literature, etc, and then just share
that on our local levels . . . that's pretty much what
we're doing here, gathering information and sharing
it. I've convinced this wonderful exotics vet here to
speak to a group after the first of the year. Very exciting.
Snowy is quietly excited about the exclusive LAPS group,
and will have her 'numbers' submitted soon. I told her she
could at least wait for the other OP's who will also qualify,
such as Buster, who has also passed that 3 lb mark.
Susi & the OP's
(note - they don't even go by skinny letters!)
