Sadly, your Molly has exactly what my guineas pigs have at the moment:
parasites.  I am having them treated at Cambridge Cavy Trust at present.
Molly will need a trip to the vets so you can be certain that's the problem,
but mine were the same.  Flakes of skin just like dandruff and the hair
pulls out from the area easily.  This must be treated, as when it becomes
severe they can have seizures from the frantic itching it causes.

Subject: [Gpdd] HEALTH- itchy Molly

  Hi everyone, we have a question about our little Molly. I've noticed
that she has some little flakes in her fur that look like dandruff.
She's also been itching more. It is dry in our house, because of the
heat, but I can't have a humidifier in the house because of my
allergies. I thought of just putting one in the living room, where she
lives, but that's where I spend most of my time, so I would be
miserable then. Is there anything else anyone can recommend that we
can do for her dry skin? Any help would be most appreciated!
  P.S.- I just wanted to say I am very thankful for everyone &
everypiggie on the digest! I don't know what I'd do without you guys!
