[Gpdd] Health - keeping warm

Hi there,

I'm in the UK and all of my piggies live in the house where it is warm. 20
years ago, before moving here, the then Piggyfriends were kept in my
conservatory, where there was more room and although it was warm in the
summer it got really cold in the winter so I put a heater in there for them.

I know that piggies should be OK in the cold in England as long as they have
plenty of hay as it is the damp weather that is dangerous for them but I
want my little ones to be cosy.

I used an electric heater with a thermostat so that if we had an unusually
warm day it would switch itself off as the temperature in a conservatory can
fluctuate wildly.

Having said all that, as you only have two piggies, I would bring them
indoors to live. I'm sure that they would appreciate it! Also, you get to
see them without getting cold yourself.

Penny and the Piggyfriends.
