[Gpdd] Announcement: Happy 7th Birthday, Hamlet!

Hi to everyone and everypig!

My little oldster Hamlet is 7 years old today!  Everypig celebrated with 
romaine leaves!  Mommy (that's me) will have mint-choc icecream and a nice 
french-pressed coffee instead, tee-hee!

I've had little Hamlet since he was 6 weeks old!  I counted back 6 weeks 
when I first got him and his brother and designated October 1st as their 
birthday!  You may remember that I posted his brother Ophelia's passing back 
in May.

I'm so happy to have had him for this long!  It is a little bittersweet, I 
must confess, as the reality is this is probably the last birthday I will 
share with him.

An oldster is special and needs extra special love and care.  I remember 
never being able to catch him sleeping and now he sleeps as soundly as a 
human baby.  He doesn't struggle when I pick him up and has really mellowed 
out since his youth.  I love him to bits!  He might be old but he still lets 
the young whippersnapper, Paddington, know whose boss by a good solid nip on 
the nose when he's had enough shenanigans!  His walk is a little unsteady so 
I always make sure hay and veggies are put near him.  He and Paddy still 
fight over the same veggie piece even though I make sure to place several 
pieces in there for the purpose of preventing such disputes!  I guess they 
want to make sure they aren't missing out on the extra special piece!

It's been a privelige to have taken care of you, Hamlet, in your babyhood, 
your prime of life adulthood and most of all, now, in your twilight, where 
nothing can be taken for granted!

Sorry, guys, it's sounding more like an obit than a birthday announcement!

To Hamlet!  Happy 7th!
