For some reason I did not receive Digest 272, so did not read of Poppy's
departure to The Rainbow Bridge. However, I would like to express our
condolences to both her slaves and the slaves of Hazelnut. It sounds as though Hazelnut
slipped peacefully away in her sleep, which is, of course, the way all of us
would like our piggies to go, if go they must. From Ginger's condolence
message, I am guessing Charlene was les fortunate and had to make that horrendous
decision we all dread, but I am sure the correct decision was made, as it
was made with love.

These little guys simply never live as long as we would like them to -
though let's face it, we'd have them live as long as we do if we had the choice,
and they deserve to get to that luscious meadow at The Bridge sooner than that!
Poppy and Hazelnut had obviously done all they needed to do here on Earth,
and are now popcorning in peace in paradise. May it comfort their slaves just
one tiny bit to know that members of the piggie community throughout the
world feel for their loss.
