Hi everyone,

To Charlene Hawk. Vet-Sect shampoo is wonderful stuff. It is widely available in Europe and is made by Millpledge. I don't know if they will ship to the US but they have a website, predictably www.millpledge.com with contact phone numbers and addresses.

If you can buy it the Piggyfriends thoroughly recommend it. The lady who runs Cavies Castle clinic uses gallons of the stuff and it is recommended by the CCT. If they do ship it'll probably be in large amounts so perhaps the Digesters could share a box!!

To everyone who posted about scales for piggies. I hardly ever weigh mine. After all these years I think that I can estimate a piggy's weight pretty well, but if I need to I just use a cheap old set of kitchen scales with a bowl on the top. I put some grass in the bowl and the piggy will usually sit still for the few seconds that it takes to read the dial. I always put the scales on the floor so that if the piggy does jump out no harm is done. My vet has a similar set of scales and the weight between his and mine is always a bit different. The Cavies Castle people never weigh piggies.

I have tried to forward the missing digest to Alge and it hasn't bounced back yet........

To Ginger and Nosy. I don't think it matters whether, like me, you have a houseful of piggies or just 2, it is always traumatic to lose one. Whether Nosy needs a new companion is debatable but you certainly do! There are so many piggies out there waiting for a new home and it seems to me that there is room for one at your house. You will always love and remember Wallie as I will always love every single piggy that has ever lived here at Piggyfriends. Every piggy is special in their own way.

Every time a new piggy comes here I tell him or her all about the piggies that have lived in the pen into which the new one will go ( I have a long memory and am probably far too sentimental but never mind ). One of my pens is called the "Miss Piggy Memorial" pen in memory of a little lady that I collected from an unspeakable home and who gave birth to three babes under my dining room table whilst I was constructing her new home. Another is the "Rainbow Pig Memorial" named for one of my son's precious piggies. You might like to call your cage/pen the "Wallie" home.

I have been in the position of taking in a new piggy on the same day that one has died but piggy life goes on and they all need our love.

I hope that you will find a new piggy soon and that you will tell him/her all about your lovely Wallie.

Trying to put everything into one post. Don't want to monopolise the Digest.

Regards to all piggies and their slaves from Penny and the Piggyfriends in England.
