I had a GP named Oreo who had a constant UTI during her last two years of
life.  Our vet could never find a reason for it.  Nothing showed up on
x-rays or ultrasound.  After much trials she was finally put on a regimen of
three weeks on antibiotics and one week off.  This kept the UTI under
control and gave her system a 'time out'.

Otherwise she acted fine.
