[Gpdd] HEALTH: Update on Charlottes lumps

Hi everyone,
Well I'm writing to update you on the lump I found on my baby girl Charlotte's cheek a week ago Saturday. Her vet appt. was last Wed but am just getting around to respond to emails now. Unfortunately, her cheek lump is the least of my problems.
 
As it turns out, the lump is not an abscess but a cist, and she has another one on her belly that I was completely unaware of because it is more embedded. The vet said the lumps are most likely benign, which is good, however upon examining her found out there is some sort of growth inside her, probably on her liver.  She offered to do a sonogram and an x-ray, but then what would I do about it? She says guinea pigs are not good candidates for surgery. 
 
So, there is not much I can do, but since Charlotte is behaving normally I will just wait and watch her closely and see if there are any changes or if anything worsens.
 
If feel terrible that she might be in pain and I don't know it, but rest assure she is living in the lap of luxury and will until the very end. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes, and for offering me advice and suggestions. It's nice to be in a network of such caring and diligent piggie owners such as you all.
