[Gpdd] Care - lettuce?

Karen- I know you will get plenty of responses on this,
  but I had to write before your little ones are deprived
  of their valuable romaine. I would imagine that when
  you hear someone say 'no lettuce' they simply mean
  iceburg, or head lettuce. It has few nutrients, and even
  has something that is harmful, tho I forget just what
  that is (someone will tell us!).  But Romaine!  Now,
  that is a lettuce of a different color! It is very good for
  everyone, pigs and slaves alike. As is any leaf lettuce.
  There may be the occasional situation that would
  call for withholding it (like, with diarrhea, only feed
  plain hay until stabilized, no fruits or veggies).
  Yes, please give your babies their romaine. :-)
