Welcome back to the GPDD Dawna. We are new members since you were last here, having joined last summer. My name is Penny and I have a little rescue/sanctuary called Piggyfriends in England. My 24 piggies say hello to BooBooBearHare and Fugly. There is another member with a piggy called Fugly and I expect she will be in touch.

Welcome to new member Melissa. I hope that when you are ready to bring your new piggies home that you will consider adopting from an animal shelter, where there are often babies needing homes as well as older piggies. My favourite websites for piggy questions are www.petergurney.com and www.guinealynx.com and for piggy gifts I like this one - www.winking-cavy.co.uk  Several members are fans of Oinkernet www.oinkernet.com  which has a webcam set up in the piggy's residence ( as if we didn't all have enough piggies of our own to watch ).

Piggies love company so I hope that you will consider having two ( or more if you have the space ). My boars live in pairs and my sows are in trios or fours but I have often had more sows together. The more the merrier.

I'll leave it to members in the US to recommend suitable housing as different products are available there.
