Donna, if Tom has any gas associated with his gastrointestinal stasis, 
gentle tummy rubs might help, though you might want to check with your 
vet to make sure those would be OK.  You could also grind up some of his 
pellets in a blender or food processor and mix those with water or 
Pedialyte to syringe feed him.  The Pedialyte will help make sure his 
electrolyte balance is maintained.  We send him healing wheeks and best 
wishes.  Please keep us posted on how he is doing.
