Hi Kirsten,

I've wondered about the long strands of celery compared to the long strands of hay as well.  Maybe it's because the hay is dry and more brittle and the celery strands are moist and flexible.  Since piggies can't throw up I can definetly see the choke factor.  However, you can definetly give your piggies celery.  I've read that you should just dice it up.  My gang really loves it, so to be safe I do about 1 inch chunks.  Here is the Guinea Lynx veggie/fruit chart that includes celery.  If you click on the different topics on the left it gives you the different vitamin ratios.  It's great to print out and go shopping with if you're watching your levels of C, calcium or phosphorus.
