The Piggyfriends don't have access to all the fancy hays that our American friends have. I buy my hay in bales from a local farmer and it is just as you describe - what was growing out in the field. My herd thrive on it and it saves me a LOT of cash which can be spent on piggy veggies and vet bills. My Rodentologists, who have a herd of piggies of their own as well as patients in their hospital, buy their hay from their nearest farm too. We just watch out for thistles and sticks and remove them.
