Hi Jamie

That was a brave letter to write. Over here in the UK we have a very
popular celebrity called Stephen Fry. I don't know if you've heard of him,
but he's a kind of national traesure over here, and the nation loves him.
He acts, does comedy, writes books, directs, narrates, hosts his own TV
show, writes plays... there's not a lot he hasn't done. He recently made a
two part programme about how he is bipolar and it has brought the subject to
the nation's attention. He said he has 4 very bad episodes a year and he
just has to shut himself away until it lessens (takes him about 10 days).
The fact he is so famous and works so very hard helps him have less time to
focus on that side of his life rather than his probelms. So you're not
alone.

I too have fibromyalgia and have had it for about 12 years now. It took
ages to get it diagnosed and I had to see a whole series of ignorant and
plain stupid doctors before I was told by a neurologist that I had that and
M.E.. Do you also have food intolerance problems too? Ever since the
condition set in for me, there are certain foods that definietly make my
fibro a lot worse and that I now have to avoid for the sake of less intense
muscle pain.

Anyway, it makes you wonder how many other guinea pig owners out there have
fibro. The two would seem to go hand in hand on GPDD!

Take care

Carole
