Hi Mieke,

Could Dunya have had an abcess which burst when you were not there? This could have formed the scab that you now see. There could still be some pus under the scab and this would feel like a lump. This area is a common place for an abscess to form.

She might have been scratching at the area as it was uncomfortable. Just an idea. Your vet will know more as he will actually see Dunya and I have only your description to go by!
