Hi Ruth.  In defense of folks in the US and most of Northern Europe who both celebrate and wish others a Merry Christmas, yes, it is traditional in these places.  If I lived in the Middle East I would never say I thought Ramadan was stupid, or in Israel, that Passover was wierd and thought I was being bombarded by the sentiments associated with them.  By living in these places I accept the traditions of the people and they're wishing me a happy whatever!
   
  I understand where Tex was coming from as I too get very tired of people who don't like our culture or traditions trying to change everything the majority believes in or enjoys just because a minority doesn't like it.
