Alge, I'm so very sorry to hear of Chester's passing.  That decision must have been terribly difficult for you.
   
  Please don't play the "what if" game with yourself.  The ONLY thing we can do for our little ones is the BEST WE KNOW HOW TO DO!  Please remember that.  I don't think vitamin C would have made a bit of difference in Chester's case.  There was definitely something else going on and your vet wasn't able to figure it out.  There is no blame here.
   
  Chester knew how much he was loved and he loved you right back in his own way.  I know he understands your decision.
   
  Rest well beautiful little boy.  You will be missed by many.
