Debbie- Thanks for the interesting notes on pneumonia (and the
bunny and cat info - ya never know!). I've wondered the same
thing, how they can give meds without tests. I've lost some
piggies to pneumonia, even after vet visits and meds, etc. Like
you say, just when you think they're gonna pull through . . .
Currently we're treating Jonesy for a very swollen foot, Baytril
and soaking his foot (fun!), etc. I monitor his breathing constantly,
praying he won't develop anything else.
btw- thanks for the wonderful quote at the bottom of your message!
  That's worthy of a frame!

Carole- You've echoed my thoughts on travel. It could be heart-
breaking no matter what you do. I know some have travelled
with them in the cabin with them in the past, don't know how
the current security restrictions might affect that. As I told Merle
in a separate email, since I work for a private airline, I've contacted
the head of our security/safety program for his input. As soon as
I learn more, I'll post for all. Also, there are some outstanding
breeders (with the high-dollar, registered show cavies, not breeder
mills for the pet stores) who ship overseas, and I'm checking with
a couple of them to see what they do.
Stay tuned - news at 11!
Susi & the 'grounded' Okie Piggies
(they're not going anywhere unless it's PigAir!)

Leah- We'll feel much safer knowing that da Bear will be
heading up Security with those toofies! So we can
relax and enjoy BS and his antics . ..
