[Gpdd] HEALTH:Florida Betony

I'm not sure if I spelled the name of the plant correctly, but I am trying to find out if Florida Betony (also known in my area as Rattlesnake plant due to the tubers which form the root system or Alligator plant due to the ridges on the leaves) is poisonous to cavies?  My parents' yard is over run and they would rather have my fur babies eat it than put out pesticides.
