Pat, I am sorry about Daphne. If she was my pig I think I would have at least an x-ray to comfirm the diagnosis. It is good that your vet is willing to do redearch on her care. I don't think he/she would be opposed to an x-ray. Depending on how old she is I understand not wanting to put her through a lot. But if she is young and healthy it may be worth investigating a little further.
