Jemma I am so glad to hear that Crockett and Jade are
getting on well. You posting reminded me of the time
my guinea pig Gala mixed with other animals.

I have to say I was a very stupid slave many years ago
and did not think about the danger I was putting her
in. I would never think of doing this now.
The first thing was I had two guinea pigs Gala and
Miro ,her' husband'. I then got two young rabbits,
Poppy and Mischa. One day I thought it would be fun
to put them in the same cage together. I watched them
for a while and they seemed so sweet together so I
left them to get on. 5 minutes later I heard a
terrible commotion and ran to see what was happening.
They were chasing each other and very frightened and I
came in in time to see Gala lunge at Mischa and bit a
chunk of skin just below his eye. Poor Mischa got
such a scare and all the animals were so upset.

The next stupid thing I did was when I was at my mum's
house. Miro and Gala liked to go visiting. I was
holding Gala on my knee when my mum's friend Jimmy
came round with his dog Snowie who was very spoilt.
Snowie came up to Gala and started sniffing at her. I
should ath this point have moved her to safety but I
am afraid I was too curious. suddenly there was a
sudden movement and a great shriek of pain and Snowie
started to wail. Jimmy was angry because my little
Gala had bitten Snowie on the nose. I said serve
Snowie right but I was amazed at Gala's spunkiness.
Please forgive me my stupidity I have learned better
know and my guinea pigs are safely separated from my
house rabbits and no dogs will ever get near them.
Gala was always quite spirited and was a typical
'wife' to Miro, nagging him from night to day but they
were so sweet together. They used to sleep next to my
bed at night.
