I do hope that Tom really is a boy as he got on so well with Jerry right from the start and it is such a shame if they have to be separated.

It can be hard to sex piggies, as, because they are so low to the ground, all the necessary equipment is hidden away inside for protection.

As you said that Tom is an adult you should be able to feel, if not see, his testicles as they are quite prominent in an older pig. To be absolutely sure, press gently on his tummy just above the opening and if Tom is a boy, his ( am I allowed to say this!? ) penis will pop out and then you will be certain. When you have him in this position, you can give him a clean.

Not very scientific but having cleared up poo for many years, I have always thought that boy piggies produce banana shaped ones, whereas girls have straight ones. Not the criterion by which to sex piggies though!!
