Jem, Crockett, George and Fletcher

We just wanted to pass on our sincere condolences on your loss of Tubbs. It
sounds as though your vet was not very experienced with guinea pigs, and we
know what that is like as we have the same problem here. If there are other
vets in your area, it would be worth ringing around to find one that knows a lot
about cavies before your next emergency. We don't have that option here in
rural Northwest France, so we use the DSN (Digest Safety Net) on this forum's
home page, or GuineaLynx, or indeed, we telephone Cavies Castle in the UK for
advice. It sounds as though Crockett may need some veterinary attention, if
he also had the diarrhoea and is still not eating - little cavies are much
too good at hiding their illnesses until it is too late.

We are sure Tubbs knew how much he was loved, and he is now free from pain,
popcorning in that luscious meadow beside the Rainbow Bridge, waiting for the
day when he will be reunited with you all again.

May it bring you some small grain of comfort to know that people across the
globe understand how bereft you are feeling, and are sending you hugs

Debbie and the 13 Dolly Mixtures
