I would agree that a warm compress is probably the lowest priority of the
three, but you could try putting warm water in a plastic bag or baggie that
is tightly tied, and holding that against the abscess.  When I am testing
bathwater temperature for my piggies, I test the water against my wrist to
make sure it is not too hot, as one might for a human baby.  I imagine you
would want water that is slightly cooler than bathwater since the abscess
will be sensitive.
