Hello Slaves,
Yesterday (Thurs) when I got home from work,
I could tell that Brownie Bear didn't eat or drink
much at all. I thought for sure that after our extra
long BBPH on Wednesday night, she would
be alright. I mean, she was perky and alert &
eating & drinking, etc. So, I thought if I did the
extra long BBPH again that she would pop
back into her 'ole self again. But, she didn't.
The only thing she would eat was timothy hay,
and she nibbled on a couple of pellets. But,
she wouldn't drink water on her own, and she
barely touched their veggies. And her poo's were
really thin, like the night before. I have Critical
Care, but I wanted to save it for post-op care
if she had the stone surgery. So, I made a
pellet/water mush mix, and syringed her that.
BB gobbled it down eagerly, so I don't
understand why she won't eat on her own. (?)

So, I contacted Dr. Griffin and he told me to bring
her in at 9am this morning. They did x-rays and
found that I successfully flushed out all of those
tiny, tiny stones. But, there was a small cluster
of what could have possibly been those tiny
stones in her kidney. So, it's possible that those
stones came from her kidneys and passed to
her bladder. Which means that BB has kidney
stones AND bladder stones. Geez. And that huge
stone has moved closer to the urethra, but most
likely, it was too big to pass.

So, I left BB at the Vet's. They are going to
do Sub Q's (fluid injections) to try and flush
out her kidneys. And they are going to put her
under anesthesia to check her teeth and
do bloodwork. The bloodwork should tell
us if there is a problem with her kidneys.
I'm on pins & needles right now, because
I know there is a possiblity that she might
not wake up during the anesthesia. :-( But,
I know that if that happens, that it is God's
will.

I still can't believe how our piggies can be
Fine one day and then be Poorly the next.
It sucks.

I don't know that stone surgery would be
the best route at this point. I mean, if she
has kidney stones coming...where will it
end? I think it may be time to stop her
suffering. :-( If she makes it through today
and tonight, but she's still doing poorly in
the morning, I may have to make that
horrible decision to help her over the
Bridge. I am so Sad.

Blaine is in New York this week (for work).
He flies back into Charlotte tonight. His
plane is scheduled to arrive at 6:45pm.
I really want BB to pull through today, so
that her Daddy Slave has a chance to
see her, just in case we have to make
that horrible decision. I am leaving work
early today to go and pick her up and
bring her home.

Before I left the Vet's today, I syringed her
some water and Loved all over and Kissed
all over her and told her over & over how
much I Loved her. I didn't want to say
'Goodbye' because even if she passes
on today, I know I'll see her again one day.

        Love 'n Wheeeeeeeps...
