Hello Slaves,
Wow, what a rough wheekend. I'm
exhausted. But, relieved that my little
Brownie Bear is still hanging in there.

On Friday night, I set up the Bear in
our extra Marchioro cage and put it
on our cocktail table in the Family Room,
so I could keep an eye on her all night.
I pretty much moved into the Family
Room and that's where I have been
sleeping since Friday night. BB didn't
do much. She laid around a lot. I'm
sure she was tired after all the activity.
Blaine made it home safely (whew!),
so I was super Happy about that.
So, anyways, I syringed her stuff, and
then I don't know what happened but
I fell asleep around 9:30pm and woke
up at 1:30am. Then, I was up for the
next 4 hours syringing BB extra water
and a pellet mush mix. I was also
syringing Butterscotch extra water
because he is miserable without his
Brownie Bear, so he wasn't drinking
much either.

On Saturday, I had to get my hair cut
and drive back up to the Vet's to get
BB's med's, so I was gone for a while.
But, when I got back, I could tell that
BB hadn't drank any water on her own.
But, she was eating her hay and nibbling
on a pellet or two, here & there. So, she
was eating and that's better than nothing,
right? Oh, and her poopies were thin and
strange-looking all weekend, but I was
relieved that she was still pooping.

Well, Blaine had to go and visit his Parents
in Myrtle Beach, SC (because his brother/sis-
in-law/new baby were visiting). So, he left
Sat afternoon to return on Sunday.

So, Saturday night, I stayed up really
late again giving BB extra water, etc.
I finally fell asleep around 5am. Well,
at around 11am or so (on Sunday morning),
I was woken up by the sound of a water
bottle being sipped on. So, I look up and...
It was Brownie Bear!!! I was so Happy,
I wanted to hug her. But, I didn't want to
disturb her. So, I watched her eat pellets
and drink water for a while and cheered
her own.

Well, I decided to put the piggies back
together because BB does so much
better when they are together. I was letting
them play with each other occassionally
throughout the weekend anyways. So,
at first BS got a little rambunctious, but then
he quickly settled down and was a purrrfect
gentle-pig from then on. He knows that BB
is not feeling well.

Daddy Slave is home this week, so he
can check on the pigs periodically. This
morning I syringed BB some extra water
and gave her Mylicon for gas. She must
have eaten (and hopefully drank some
water?) in the middle of the night, because
she weighed an ounce more than the
night before (1 lb / 14+ ounces). That's a
good sign, right???

I know she's not in the clear yet, but I'm
keeping my paws crossed that maybe she
still has the will to Fight.

THANKS again for all of the Prayers,
well wishes, and emails!!!

      Love 'n Wheeeeeeps,
              Leah...Slave to Brownie Bear &
                        Butterscotch :-)
