[Gpdd] [health]fighting boars and wounds

Hi Rachel,
Make sure that the wound is really clean - you can use a saline solution for
this - and apply lots of good old Vaseline or Savlon. If you have it,
Dermasol is good. Just watch to see that the wound does not become
infected.
I would be amazed if you could introduce 4 boars together. I always have
mine in pairs and would only try a trio if they were litter brothers that
had never been separated. As well as Joan's suggestion, have a look at
www.barmy4boars.co.uk for lots of info on introducing boars. I have two
boars that won't get on in the same cage despite careful introductions but
they live side by side with a divider and chat and sit "together". They
enjoy the company but there is no chance of a fight.
I would keep the original pair together and try and introduce the other two
as a separate pair. If it doesn't work you'll need another cage!
Best of luck,
Penny and the Piggyfriends.
