Antoinette-
  I've seen this milk or sow's thistle mentioned before. What if you
  don't know about the piggie's liver for sure, would there be any
  problems from giving them a bit of this herb without a proper 
  diagnosis? And just what would the symptoms be to make you
  suspect this condition?
  What other conditions would be helped with this herb?
  Thanks so much for your suggestions, I may just add a pot of
  this to the other herbs (and parslies!) on my porch.
