Hi all and vic/vuc (slave to angela)

I asked the dutch woman who specialised in satins and od research (her name
is desiree btw ;-) ). She said that indeed she never had a satin with stones
but that does not mean it is not possible. A stone does not have to be from
calcium (fosfor is a candidate) and there are also genetic factors that play
a role in the formation of stones.
She never encountered a non-satin pig with od, but again, it can be
possible. It could also be arthrosis and there can also be other factors
than the genetic defect, that can cause OD.(so your suspicions could be
right).

Will you let us know how it went with the vet today?

Janneke
