While lots of you seem to have problems with your families and pets I have to say that my family are utterley and totally devoted to any animal that comes their way over the years the following things have happened;
My Nan found a hamster wandering in the gutter when she was out shopping this was brought straight home and lived the rest of its life with her.
My Dad (he is such a softy) saw what he thought was a teddy lying in the road and stopped the car to move it, when he got closer he saw it move and realised that it was a baby rabbit. He bought it home and he/she had a happy life with us.
My Brother recently saw a plastic bag by the side of the river near his home and realised it was moving, when he?untied it there were 4 baby white mice in it. The?vet told him they would?need feeding every two hours, bearing in mind he is early 20s and his hobbies?consist soley of going to the pub, he gave up his social life so he could be there for the babies. Unfortunately despite his best efforts they all died within a few days.
Currently my Daddies baby is his 13 year old german shepherd unfortunately she should have gone to the bridge this time last year, I am sure its his love and devotion that is keeping her going, they will roast chicken specially for her as its what she likes to eat, as her hips are bad and she cant climb stairs anymore he carries her up every night to sleep by the bed and then carries her down again in the morning. Sadly though although she is still showing that she enjoys life she may have to be helped to the bridge soon as she keeps picking up infections.
As you can see I come from a family of animal lovers, there are still good people?out there.?
