Hi Kim,

Welcome to new piggy, Hibiscus!

I have all of my piggies (25) in several adjoining cages, males next to females, and they all love to chat to each other through the wires.

I never have had any of my boys "fixed" and the proximity of the girls has never caused any problems. I'm sure that they all enjoy the company. I wouldn't take the risk of an unnecessary operation. Just make sure that the cage sides are high enough!
