[Gpdd] ANNOUNCEMENT: Kia, the newest Munchee

 How bad is Kacee?  Very bad.  She saw a guinea pig that reminded her of
her beloved Kozmo who died about a year ago and couldn't resist going
back to PetSmart to see if she was still there.  Fortunately, or
unfortunately, she was and home I came with this new addition.  She's
about 7 weeks old and very spunky!  In fact, the guy at the store said
that would be a good name but, of course, it didn't start with a K.  A
favorite cousin of mine had a dog named Kia Kai and so I named her Kia
in honor of my cousin who passed away about a year or so ago.  She seems
very sweet and is very verbal.  What a chatterbox she is.  I haven't
decided yet whether I will try to put her with one of the other
Munchees.  You can see her at

Kurlee, who is about 5, has been having some eating issues.  The vet
trimmed her teeth to see if that was the problem and while she seemed to
gain some weight at first, it took a bit of a nose dive.  I was already
to take her in today but then she decided she was going to eat so I
ended up not taking her in.  I think she saw the carrier come out and
decided to eat so she wouldn't have to go to the vet!  I talked to the
vet today and after reviewing her weights said to bring her back in,
that there's something going on with her.   I'll take her in on Monday
unless something drastic happens before then and I need to get her in
there before.  He hasn't been able to feel anything or find anything
else wrong with her.  He'll probably take some xrays this time around.

The Munchess and I send healing wheeks to all those piggies that are not
well and condolences to those who have lost piggies recently.  All of us
on the Digest know how much it hurts to lose one of these special
creatures.
